The perfect introduction to the world of aviation - an unforgettable flight with majestic views and a chance to take the controls yourself.

The flight

We kick things off with a 5-10 minute briefing where we'll touch on the basic principles of flight and introduce you to your captain. There will be a quick inspection of the plane on the tarmac, and then it's time to get airborne!

You'll be flying in a Tecnam P2002 Sierra, an ultra-modern two-seater plane with dual controls which will allow you to assist the pilot in a wide range of manoeuvres, including climbs, descents and banking. (You'll even be able to lend a hand during the approach for landing!).

The route

Throughout the flight you'll be treated to some stunning 360° panoramas of the countryside surrounding the aerodrome, so make sure you don't forget your camera!

Flights of 30 minutes or more will also offer fantastic views of the towns and villages to the west of Madrid, such as Navalcarnero, Brunete, Sevilla la Nueva and Villanueva de la Cañada.

Flights of 45 minutes or more will reach the impressive San Juan Reservoir whose miles and miles of beach throng with sunbathers and water sports enthusiasts during the summer months.

Flights of 60 minutes will approach the rugged mountain range of the Sierra de Guadarrama. Weather permitting, you'll be able to spot the famous royal summer palace of El Escorial and the Valle de los Caídos in the distance.

To cap things off, on returning to the aerodrome, clients on flights of 60 minutes or more will also get the chance to do a couple of low level flyovers of the runway.

Note: If a couple (or two friends) or even three of you wish to fly at the same time, you can. The two or three planes will fly simultaneously along the same route, and you will be able to communicate with each other by radio.

All year (Mon-Sun).

Simultaneous flights

If a couple (or two friends) or even three of you wish to fly at the same time, you can. The two or three planes will fly simultaneously along the same route, and you will be able to communicate with each other by radio. This option is only available on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year.

Casarrubios Aerodrome, situated 10km from Navalcarnero and 45km from Madrid.

The Tecnam P2002 is a two-seated plane and so participation is limited to 1 client (the co-pilot). Guests are welcome to accompany the co-pilot at the aerodrome.

Special conditions

  • Individuals suffering from serious heart or bone conditions are not permitted to fly.
  • Maximum weight: 130 kg, maximum height: 2 metres.
  • This experience is suitable for children who are at least 1.40m tall. Minors must be accompanied at the aerodrome by a parent or tutor, who will be asked to sign an authorisation form.
  • Pregnant women are not permitted to fly.

Adverse weather conditions can sometimes make flying impossible. If your flight is called off for bad weather, a new, alternative date will be offered.

Extra information

  • The aerodrome has a cafeteria so your family and friends can watch you take off and then enjoy snacks and refreshments until you land.
  • In certain rare circumstances – such as an unforeseen change in the weather or extreme nervousness on the part of the client - the pilot may make the decision NOT to let the client fly the plane for reasons of safety.

Client testimonials

"...It was a totally incredible experience, thanks in large part to the pilot who made everything as easy as possible for me, and who allowed me control of the plane for almost an hour - much more than I expected. It was my 18th birthday present and I'll never forget it. "

Adrián Cuadrado

"...Good afternoon, I'm sending a few photos of my plane flying experience for you to share on your website so that other people will be inspired to give it a go. It was the most amazing experience of my life - taking off and flying by myself, with a few instructions from the pilot was incredible. Thank you to everyone. "
