Paragliding is one of the most joyful forms of flight ever devised. Nothing can compare to the feeling of freedom and elation as you hitch a ride upwards on the wind, swooping and soaring like an eagle as miles and miles of stunning vistas stretch away beneath your feet.

We'll kick things off with a short safety briefing and get you kitted out in your helmet and harness. Then it’s one, two three and you're airborne! Time to take a deep breath and enjoy 15 unforgettable minutes of flight over the beautiful landscapes of Ávila.

You'll be flying a twin seated glider, so no prior training or experience is required - whether you're on first flight or your hundredth, our expert pilot will give you all advice and assistance you need to ensure a smooth takeoff and the gentlest of landings!

Flights usually last between 15 and 30 minutes, but the exact duration will depend on the wind intensity at the moment of take off. Even on extremely calm days, the descent will last between 10-15 minutes. During the flight you'll be descending along gradient of between 600 and 800 metres.

Ávila flights generally take place in one of two different flight zones, depending on the direction of the wind: Cebreros (not far from Martin de Valdeiglesias, arriving on the San Juan Reservoir road) or Pedro Bernardo.

All year, Monday to Sunday.

The duration of the flight is 15 minutes, but please allow for up to half a day for the full activity (preparation, safety briefing etc). Since you will form part of a small group of clients, there may also be a short waiting time before your flight.

Special conditions

  • individuals suffering from serious heart or bone conditions will not be premitted to fly.

Additional information

  • We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and trainers or hiking boots.
  • Bookings must be made with 7-10 days notice. Since this experience depends on favourable weather conditions, bookings will only be confirmed two days prior to the event. It's only then that we can say with some certainty whether the flight can go ahead, and confirm the location of the meeting point.
  • As there is no access by public transport, you must have your own vehicle in order to travel to our flight zones.

Adverse weather conditions can sometimes make flying impossible. If your flight is called off for bad weather, a new, alternative date will be offered.
