Undoubtedly, a unique opportunity to enjoy the serenity and freedom that you feel when flying.

What is a gyrocopter?

A gyrocopter (also called autogyro) is a rotary-wing aircraft that flies by means of autorotation. Unlike a helicopter, the rotor of a gyrocopter is not powered directly by a motor, but turns by the action of the relative airflow on the blades.

The Flight

First you will meet the pilot who will fly with you. He will instruct you in a theoretical pre-flight talk through which he will introduce you to the history of this fascinating device invented by the Spanish engineer Juan de la Cierva more than 100 years ago.

Later, you will go out to the runway, go up to the cockpit and do the pre-flight inspection before starting the takeoff.

From takeoff to landing you will have a magnificent panoramic view surrounded by beautiful nature.

The routes depend on the flight durations, approximately they are like this:

  • Flights of 15 minutes fly over the Villacastín area and with 20minutes reservoirs located south of the vicinity, such as the Voltoya Reservoir, Aceña or the Valtravieso Reservoir. A curiosity of the latter is that it was once a glacier, and has a landscape of ancient simplicity that is very difficult to access if you are on land.
  • The duration of 30 minutes can reach one of the cities of Segovia, Ávila or El Escorial.
  • With 45 minutes allows you to fly over a series of castles, such as Arévalo, Coca, Cuéllar, Pedraza, Turégano, the Alcazar of Segovia ... all wrapped in natural landscapes.
  • For the most daring, flights of 1 hour can range between several locations mentioned above, or those of Salamanca, Valladolid or the natural area of the Sierra de Gredos, among other possible options.

Regardless of the route you follow, you will enjoy the immense peace and freedom that can only be experienced in the air. Don't miss it and book your flight now.
