Now you and your family can enjoy a magical winter experience in the beautiful Pyrenean setting of Grandvalira (Andorra) with this sleigh excursion with huskies.
Grandvalira is one of the most popular winter resorts in the Iberian Peninsula and its snowy peaks and forests provide the perfect backdrop for this unforgettable excursion.
At the meeting point
First you'll meet your sleigh driver (the "musher"), as well as the delightful group of 12-14 huskies who will be leading the way.
The musher will explain a little about the mushing tradition and the characteristics of these extraordinary dogs. Then once on board the sleigh, and with the cry of "Mush, mush!" the excursion begins.
The excursion
The route will take you through an incredibly pretty winter landscape. As the dogs start pick up speed, virtually the only thing you'll hear is sound of the sled as it slides through the snowy woods.
At the halfway point, the musher will bring the huskies to a stop, so that you can catch your breath and take in the beauty of your surroundings. This is the perfect moment to take a photo or two, so don't forget to bring a camera!
You'll then begin the homeward leg of the journey back to the meeting point where you'll be able to pet and congratulate the friendly huskies.
A true Nordic style adventure, just a few hours from Barcelona!
