Located on the site of the old Medina, not far from the ruins of the city's old Arab walls, the baths of Hammam Al Ándalus offer a heavenly spa experience in the historic centre of Málaga.

The evocatively decorated baths, with their delightful arabesque arches, murals and mosaics, will transport you to the distant era of Al Andalús. The sound of trickling water, the soothing notes of traditional Andalusian music and the scent of fragrant oils and candles create the perfect setting for peace and relaxation.

The Hammam in Málaga fuses ancient Arabic traditions with a pioneering modern geothermic system, the first of its kind in Spain, which channels water to a depth of 150 metres, in order to attain the the perfect water and atmospheric temperature.

The experience begins with a circuit of the baths' three water rooms (a warm room of 36º, a hot room of 40º, and a cold room of 18º), which you are free to repeat as many times as you like, combined with visits to the steam room. The session continues with a visit to the rest room where you can enjoy a cup of traditional Arabic tea.

The session concludes with a traditional Kessa treatment and a relaxation massage.

  • For the Kessa treatment, the masseuse lathers and rubs down the body using the traditional Arab "Kessa" glove and red grape soap, clearing away dead cells from the skin and stimulating the circulation of the blood.
  • Next, you will be treated to a slow, ultra-relaxing massage using scented, hydrating oils and firm, continual pressure along the back and legs.

A truly blissful experience which will leave you feeling invigorated and serene!
