Location: Seville - Sanlúcar la Mayor (Sevilla)
Duration: 3 hours
Participants: 1 person
See one of the most beautiful corners of Andalucía from the air, with this hot air balloon flight in the vicinity of Doñana National park near Seville.
The adventure begins at break of day, in the picturesque town of Sanlúcar la Mayor, just 25km from Seville. We'll find a nice spot for takeoff, check that conditions are favourable and start the inflation of the balloon. Participation in this step is optional but the pilot will be delighted if you lend a hand! Once the balloon is fully inflated, it's time to hop into the basket and begin the spectacular, awe-inspiring ascent to 1500 feet.
Our route, as always, will be decided mainly by the wind, but whichever way the breeze carries us the views will be magnificent, as we track the lovely, verdant course of the River Guadiamar as it flows south towards Doñana National Park. There will be moments when we fly level with the trees and, if you're lucky, you may even be able to grab a handful of fruit!
The landscape in this part of the world is breathtaking, particularly during spring, when the fields bloom with sunflowers. You'll also be able to spot a remarkable 21st century landmark - the huge white tower and glittering mirrors of the PS10 solar power station - the first of its kind in the world.
After landing we'll celebrate our flight in the traditional manner, with a glass of cava and a delicious breakfast of tostada, ham and coffee at a local inn. There we'll raise a toast to our adventure and present you with your flying diploma.
Monday to Sunday throughout the year.
The balloon flight has a duration of 1 hour, with the activity as a whole lasting up to between 3 and 4 hours.
