Enjoy an unforgettable aeronautical adventure and wonderful views of the coast of Valencia with this gyrocopter flight in La Llosa (Castellón).
THE FLIGHT:
The gyrocopter (or autogyro) is a two-seater, rotating-wing aircraft, which was invented by the Spaniard Juan de la Cierva in 1920. It is a direct predecessor of the modern helicopter. When you arrive at the aerodrome, your pilot will introduce you to this unique aircraft and provide a pre-flight briefing of around 15-20 minutes. Then, it's time for take-off!
THE ROUTE:
La Llosa airfield is located less than 45km from Valencia in the natural area "Els Estanys" of Almenara, a beautiful place formed by three lagoons, vestiges of an old wetland. From here your experience will take you on of the following routes:
On our 15 minute flights you'll pass over the coastal towns of Chilches, Nules and Moncofar.
Choose the 30 minute option and your journey will continue north to the town of Burriana, then return to the airfield via the interior, flying over the walled town of Mascarell.
During the 45 minute flight, you'll enjoy wonderful views of the beaches of Almenara and Canet de Berenguer, before continuing south to the port of Sagunto. The spectacular return leg will take you over Sagunto's ancient ruined castle, which was famously besieged by Hannibal in the year 219 BC - as well as the Castle of Almenara.
Flights of 60 minutes will follow the previous route, but will also fly over the town of Mascarell, whose imposing, medieval walls make for an unmissable photo opportunity. You'll then return to the aerodrome via Chilches.
